A Wood River man who was wanted on drug dealing charges was arrested Monday in St. Louis. 39 year old Ralph T. Walker was taken into custody without incident following a tip to U.S. Marshal's about where he might be living. Walker was wanted for allegedly possessing and dealing heroin from homes in Wood River and Alton.
Authorities say Walker was staying at a home in the 5300 block of Union Boulevard in St. Louis and was arrested on Monday morning. Federal agents got a tip through St. Louis Regional Crimestoppers about Walker after they released information about him to St. Louis area media last week. He allegedly sold heroin to undercover informants from a home in the 100 block of West Penning in Wood River and from homes in the 2600 block of Yager and 2800 block of Grandview in Alton earlier this summer. Walker was formally charged in federal court in August, along with about 3 dozen other suspects in separate drug cases.
