One of the first Halloween-themed events of the season is happening Saturday in Brighton from 5-9pm.  It's the annual Frighten Brighton Event at Schneider Park, and one of the biggest events of the evening will be the cupcake and cake-decorating contest at 6:30, with the presentation of prizes at 7:00.  Shortly after that, all entries will be auctioned off.

Any money raised will go back into the fireworks fund for next year.  Brighton Park Committee member John Bramley says there will be plenty of activities throughout the event, including a haunted house runs from 6-9pm.

There will also be various food, game and activity booths.  Schneider Park is located on the “S” curve under the water tower.
