Six freshmen Congressmen in Illinois will meet for the first time when the House re-convenes tomorrow. The state's 18-member House delegates comprise the smallest group in this state in more than 100-years. 13th District Republican Rodney Davis of Taylorville and Democrat Bill Enyart of Belleville, representing the 12th District, are among the local members heading to Washington D.C. to begin their work.
A seventh freshman will take office in April when Jesse Jackson Junior's successor is named. All seven freshmen House members make-up the largest group of Illinois newcomers in at least 40-years.
