Shedding unwanted pounds is one of the goals hundreds of thousands of Americans make every January. This year, it's a resolution that Coordinated Youth and Health Services says everyone should make in an effort to reduce the risk of developing Type 2 diabetes. Extra weight, inactivity and older age are just a few of the main risk factors that attendees will have a chance to learn about over the course of a free, six-week, self management program according to Madison County Health Educator Lisa Modrusic.
Modrusic says the next program will begin in February at Coordinated Youth and Health Services in Granite City and that registration is required to attend the classes. For more information on the program you can call 618-877-3433 or follow the link http://www.cyhs.com/index.php/community-projects
