A former employee of the Veteran's Administration has been sentenced to 2 1/2 years in prison after convictions for Wire Fraud and Aggravated Identity Theft.  37-year-old Terrence Starks of Bunker Hill used his position to access the U.S. Department of Veteran's Affairs computerized software system for the payment and distribution of benefits.

He then fraudulently changed the routing number and account number of veteran recipient's benefits to an account controlled by Starks through his girlfriend.  In addition to the prison term, he will serve three years of supervised release following his release from prison and pay restitution of $19,260.26.
