The former Illinois State trooper involved in the crash that claimed the lives of two sisters is living in Illinois again, and he wants his driver’s license back.  This is the fourth time Matt Mitchell has asked to have his license reinstated. He was driving more than 125 miles per hour and on his cell phone when he hit and killed the sisters on I-64 in St. Clair County in 2007.

His attorney tells the "Belleville News-Democrat" that Mitchell, who had been living in Texas, has moved back to Illinois, and wants to be allowed to drive on a probationary basis.  Teenagers Jessica and Kelli Uhl of Collinsville were killed when their car collided with Mitchell's police cruiser in the crash near O'Fallon.
