Hurricane Sandy came ashore yesterday evening, and has been generating reports of thousands of people power outages, major flooding and wind damage for nearly 24-hours.   A former local resident moved to Gettysburg, Pennsylvania last fall and is dealing with the so-called "Frankenstorm," as the various elements come together.

Gayle Trask lived in Jerseyville for a number of years, but before that, lived in Florida, so she says this isn't her first hurricane:

Trask spoke to Z-1570 just after 2pm Monday, and central Pennsylvania was just beginning to feel the effects of the outer bands of the hurricane.
