School bells will begin ringing in the Riverbend within the next few weeks and that means that the Crisis Food Center will be kicking their Kidbox program into full gear. The program started at the beginning of June and will continue through the month of August, providing families in need with an extra bag of breakfast and lunch items for school age children.
Crisis Food Center Executive Director Susan Jolley says that they continue to see more and more young children coming to the center.

Jolley says that the items they give out to families include milk and fruits and vegetables from local producers, which is all part of their mission to provide families with a nutritional balance of goods.
