Flu activity is starting to pick up in Illinois.  Flu season doesn’t typically peak until sometime in January, says state Department of Public Health spokesperson Melaney Arnold.  Right now, flu activity is at the second highest level - "regional”.

Arnold comments

Arnold says it’s absolutely not too late to get your flu shot to help protect you from the virus.  It’s available in both shot and nasal spray form.
