The 2013 flood season was a tough one for several Riverbend communities and one local lawmaker is stepping up to make sure that you are prepared if the region sees any flooding this year. State Senator Sam McCann (R-Carlinville) is hosting a free seminar on flood preparedness tomorrow in Grafton. The event will feature representatives from the Illinois Emergency Management Agency, the Illinois Department of Natural Resources and an opportunity for the public to comment on the subject.
McCann says it’s important to take the time to review the disaster response process.
