An apparent malfunction in the fireworks show at Godfrey's Glazebrook Park resulted in the show running in "almost reverse order" with the grand finale near the beginning, according to the village's Park & Recreation Director.  Kimberly Caughran tells the Big Z Central States Fireworks does the production for the show, and has already offered a make-good.

Caughran estimates about 5,000 people watched the fireworks from the grounds of Glazebrook Park, with hundreds more finding other spots to watch like from the ball diamonds, Monticello Plaza, and Lewis & Clark Community College.  She says there were very few problems getting traffic in and out of the grounds, which was a pleasant surprise considering the amount of rain that fell in the days leading up to the event.
