Workers at Scott Air Force Base won't have to take off two weeks without pay after all. The Defense Department has reduced the mandatory amount of furlough days from 14 to eleven, meaning each worker will take off one day a week between July and September.

Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel says even eleven days off will mean a big pay cut for most of the 45-hundred workers at Scott who'll be impacted.  But, he says the department is doing everything it can to keep people on the job.
