People who are protesting the grand jury decision in the Michael Brown shooting case took their message to local big box stores and shopping centers on Thanksgiving. The majority of them were peaceful, but more demonstrations are reportedly planned for today throughout St. Louis and St. Charles Counties.
Stores like Wal-Mart and Target were where most of the protests occurred on Thursday. The leaders of demonstrators say they'll place their focus on boycotting major retailers along with protesting at shopping malls in the St. Louis area. The Galleria has been in the conversation as one of the malls that's targeted for a boycott. Local police and store security have been preparing for Black Friday protests since before the grand jury decision was reached.
