FEMA officials are in southern Illinois taking a close look at tornado damage.  One of four crews statewide are spending the next few days in Massac and Pope Counties to determine if any of the areas will qualify for federal aid.  While much of the attention has been on central Illinois in the Washington area, there was some damage and 3 fatalities near the Ohio River.

Neighbors of the three people killed in Brookport are looking forward to talk with the officials, knowing that federal help could be some of the only assistance they get.  FEMA is telling anyone with insurance to go ahead and file with their company.
