Hundreds of federal employees from Illinois will have to return nearly a quarter-of-a-million-dollars in unemployment benefits.  The state's economic security department says about 600 federal workers furloughed during the two-week government shutdown were paid about 230-thousand-dollars in unemployment benefits.

But that money must be returned since the legislation passed to end the 16-day shutdown included a provision for back-pay to furloughed federal workers.
