The annual Farmers' and Artisans' Market in downtown Alton returns for another season on Saturday. Rain or shine, dozens of vendors are expected each week, and this year the market has a new location. It will be set up tomorrow morning from 8am to Noon at the corner of Henry Street and Landmarks currently used by Argosy Casino.
Alton Main Street Executive Director Sara McGibany says this will provide for about 300 parking spaces for the public and almost 100 slots for vendors with some room to grow if needed. Nicole Vite of Freestyle Farms near Bunker Hill will be there:
