The Alton Little Theater will be performing the musical FAME. July 22-24 and July 29-31 you can see the broadway musical that is based on the School for the Performing Arts in New York City. The musical picks up after the story of the popular movie, to the last four years that the school was open. Staging a musical, especially one of this scope, is expensive, but Alton Little decided to stage FAME with no tuition requirement thanks in part to a grant from the Boeing Employee Foundation and from the Gulovsen Swaab Charitable Fund. Tickets are $20 dollars for Adults and just $10 dollars for students through high school.
Kevin Frakes, the director of FAME told the Big Z on a recent Let's Talk, why Alton Little chose to produce the musical.
