It looks like the rain will stay away for Fair St. Louis, and St. Louis Police say they're hoping troublemakers will steer clear as well. They're beefing up security downtown in anticipation of the event.  Uniformed and plainclothes officers will be in squad cars, on foot, on bikes and in the air.  Thousands are expected to attend Fair St. Louis, which kicks off today and runs through Saturday.

The popular air shows over the Mississippi River will be held today and tomorrow at Noon and 4pm, and then Saturday at 5pm.  Main stage entertainment includes Trace Adkins tonight, Brett Michaels on Friday night and the band Counting Crows on Saturday.  All shows begin at 8pm, followed by fireworks.
