A tip from the public has resulted in the closure of multiple burglary cases in Alton. The Alton Police Department reports that three adults and seven juveniles have been charged in connection with 16 reported burglary cases in the City. Alton Police Department Public Information Officer Emily Hejna says the cases date back to May of this year.

She says detectives got a break in the case after the department received a message on its Facebook page.

22-year old Jordan M. Flowers (pictured, top) of Alton has been charged with one count of possession of a stolen firearm and one count of possession of a firearm by a felon. He is being held in the Madison County Jail. 

Two other adults have been charged in the case but are not in custody. 18-year old Keithsaun E.R. Lytle (pictured, botom) of Wood River has been charged with one felony count of burglary and 18-year old Yonzae X. Reed of Alton has been charged with two counts of felony burglary, she asks anyone with information on their whereabouts to contact the Alton Police Department at 463-3505.
