Two years ago, the Madison County Treasurer's Office liquidated the approximately $41 million of bonds that were purchased during the administration of former treasurer Frank Miles, and Treasurer Kurt Prenzler may soon have more eyes watching his investment practices as a result. Madison County Auditor Rick Faccin claims that move has cost Madison County Taxpayers dearly, and wants an oversight committee established to watch over Prenzler's office's investments.

That audio is from the Madison County Board website. The proposal to establish what Faccin says he hopes will be a bi-partisan committee has been laid over until next month. Prenzler is the only Republican to hold a county-wide office.
