The enrollment period for Medicare Part D ends December 7, so scammers may be targeting you as a potential target for their ruse.  Some have been known to call seniors, representing themselves as agents for Medicare, and asking for personal information.  Others pose as door-to-door salespeople. 

Medicare has no sales representatives, and agents cannot solicit Medicare plans at your home without an appointment.  Still, Better Business Bureau Investigator Bill Smith says some legitimate insurance representatives have been caught acting in a shady manner
