Political hiring information in Illinois belongs online, under a law former Gov. Pat Quinn didn’t enforce, say supporters of an executive order Gov. Bruce Rauner signed Thursday.  “What he had told the press is that it would cost $150,000, and maybe his numbers are right. I don't think they are,” says State Rep. Jack Franks (D-Marengo), who appeared at Rauner’s announcement.

Rauner, a multi-millionaire who financed much of his own campaign, has refused to disclose his income tax schedules or sources of his income. He has said his disclosure already exceeds what’s required.
