With a concert, a statue unveiling and a food truck festival all in the past month, downtown Alton businesses are reaping the benefits of events that have attracted thousands of visitors to the city.  Those visitors, for the most part, spent money in downtown businesses, and there’s another opportunity coming up this weekend.

Stawar says the Mississippi Earthtones Festival this Saturday has moved out of the amphitheater and onto a portion of Broadway, and he hopes that means another good weekend for downtown merchants.
