The Emergency Room remodeling project is complete at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Alton. A ribbon cutting and blessing ceremony was held at the facility on Tuesday as hospital staff helped unveil the new look. You can hear more about the project later this morning during Let’s Talk Health on The Big Z with special guest John Peipert, Director of Emergency Services at St. Anthony’s.
The new construction featured the “results pending room” where patients with less serious medical issues, and their family and friends, can wait for results in a more comfortable atmosphere. There is an expanded triage area, and other cosmetic updates. The project cost $230,000 and added about 1-thousand square feet of additional space to the emergency department.
