The EPA is proposing stricter guidelines over about a-million acres of wetland and two-million miles of streams across the nation. It would give the federal government more say over which streams and wetlands qualify for protections under the Clean Water Act. The suggestion is under public review right now and a final decision won’t be made for at least 90-days.
