For many veterans of America's various wars, finding a job once they return home has been as big a challenge as any they faced on the battlefield. Veterans have, as a group, proved themselves to be trustworthy, punctual, and overall good workers. The Madison County Veterans' Assistance Commission is making a concerted effort to match veterans with employment opportunities
Sometimes they are dealing with a byproduct of the war or conflict they endured, such as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Captain Brad Lavite, Superintendent of the Commission, says the goal is to match a veteran with a job that requires his or her skill set and any potential medical issues that are being addressed.
