A federal grand jury has issued a subpoena for e-mails of key players in Governor Quinn's troubled anti-violence program. The "Chicago Tribune" reports that e-mails and other electronic records are being sought for Barbara Shaw, who formerly headed the Neighborhood Recovery Initiative.
Others on the feds' list are Quinn's former chief of staff Toni Irving and Malcolm Weems, the one-time head of the Department of Central Management. The NRI came under fire in a February audit that showed extreme mismanagement and serious financial irregularities.
