After taking a break last year, the Village of Elsah will welcome visitors again for the annual Home for the Holidays home tour and Christmas celebration on Saturday. Known as the "village where time stood still," Elsah was the first village in its entirety to be listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and it retains its historic charm and picturesque beauty today.
Alton Regional Convention and Visitor's Bureau spokesman Jong Cambron says you can take a stroll back in time for a glimpse of early Americana as you tour select homes in Elsah.
Tickets for this event are $15 in advance, and may be purchased at the Alton Visitor's Center, or online at a link provided at this story at AltonDailyNews.com. Day of event admission will be $18 cash only, and will be available at the Village Museum and at Farley’s Music Hall starting at 1 pm. At Farley's Music Hall, My Just Desserts will be serving soups, salads and desserts from 1-6pm for an additional cost of $10.
