Authorities in Edwardsville say they are hoping for help from the public in identifying a suspect who reportedly held up the Scott Credit Union in the 1000 block of Route 157 on Monday afternoon.   The suspect is described as a white male in his 20s.

He was about six feet tall, wearing a dark green fedora, dark green windbreaker jacket and tan slacks.  When the man entered the Scott Credit Union, he handed a teller a note demanding money and took an undetermined amount of money.  Authorities investigating say the suspect suggested to the teller that he had a weapon before he left on foot across the parking lot shortly after 2:00 pm.  Edwardsville police are hoping for tips on the whereabouts of the suspect and can be contacted at 618-656-2131.
