The annual Edwardsville Rotary Criterium returns to the streets of Downtown Edwardsville today for the fourth time.  The start / finish line is on Main Street, and will circle a short course that runs 0.7 miles and features what organizers call seven difficult turns.  Sanctioned by USA Cycling, the day includes a $10,000 purse, which is one of the top pay outs in the region.

Race Director S.J. Morrison says with much of downtown closed off to vehicle traffic, they have tried to increase foot traffic by hosting a "Race Route Pub Crawl," which you can participate in by purchasing a $25 ticket.

Racing begins at 3:00 and should go until about 10:30.  Live music will also be held on Main Street featuring "The Robert Perry Band" and "Crazy Chester,"and there will be free kids races on Main Street at 6:45.  For more information, click here:
