A bill to change the funding formula for public schools may be considered during the six days state lawmakers are in Springfield this fall. The legislation sponsored by State Senator Andy Manar (D-Bunker Hill) passed in the Illinois Senate, but the House never voted on it.
Manar is open to tweaking the bill if it helps its chances of making it to the governor’s desk.
