Former Governor Jim Edgar supports pension reform for lawmakers only.  He tells "Crain's Chicago Business" it would've been a good start because reforming the other systems may face a legal battle.  He says starting with lawmakers will at least give the state some idea on how the courts will rule on the reforms.  

Democrats pushed for reforming only the General Assembly Retirement system when they met for special session last month but very few Republicans supported the proposal.
