There is an electronics recycling drive today, and there appears to be no shortage of items ready to be disposed of.  From 9am-1pm Cope Plastics and RJ's Recycling will take your waste electronics at Cope's location at 5033 Humbert Road.  Andy Ferguson, Cope's Environmental Manager, says there are no shortage of items coming to the many drives held around the region.

Ferguson comments

Under a state law that is is nearly two years old, items now banned from Illinois landfills include televisions, monitors, printers, computers, electronic keyboards, fax machines, VCR's, DVD players, portable digital music players, video game consoles, small-scale servers, electronic mice, scanners, digital converter boxes, satellite receivers and digital video disc recorders.
