Organizers in East Alton are making final preparations for their village's Halloween Parade, which the chairman says has been a tradition now for more than 8 decades.   Organizers say participants will start showing up at Wilshire Village Shopping Center by 6:00pm tonight (October 29th).

Organized by the East Alton American Legion Parade Chairman Steve Huck tells The Big Z they usually have a nice parade with a number of typical parade attractions and some local celebrities.

He says if you want to get in the parade, call their office at 254-7078, or just show up.  The parade starts at 7pm at Wilshire Village, heads to Main Street, then to Shamrock, to Smith Street, to St. Louis Avenue, and ends up at the American Legion.
