The East Alton Halloween Parade is on the way tonight, and it's not too late to get in on the fun.  Organizers at the East Alton American Legion are celebrating more than 80 years of the parade running through town, and ending up at their location.  This year, the Assistant Chairman says the parade will go on, even if the weather turns bad.

Last year, the parade was cancelled due to inclement weather.  Assistant Parade Chairman Don Harlan says that will not happen again:

He says there will be floats, bands, cheerleaders and football teams participating.  Harlan says if you want to join the parade, contact the American Legion at 254-7078, and sign up, or just show up.  It stages at the East Alton Shop N Save Parking lot at 6:30pm.  The parade starts at 7pm, goes to Main Street, to Edwardsville Road, and ends up at the American Legion.
