A man and woman from East Alton face multiple, drug-related charges, following a tip made to police earlier this week. 26-year old Brandon A. Reames and 23-year old Erika J. Huck, both of the 420 block of Pence Avenue in East Alton have been charged with felony unlawful possession of a controlled substance (heroin) and misdemeanor charges of endangering the life or health of a child and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to a report from the Madison County Sheriff's Office, Reames and Huck were taken into custody Tuesday morning at the Mid West Motel in Granite City after a caller reported the couple was involved in narcotic related activity and that a child was present in the room. Deputies met with Reames and took him into custody on an outstanding warrant. Huck was arrested after a search of the room resulted in the seizure of multiple syringes, drug paraphernalia and heroin. The couple's child was taken into protective custody by the Department of Children and Family Services. Reams and Huck are each being held at the Madison County Jail on a $15,000 bond.
