The "Great Central U.S. Shakeout" is today.  Earthquakes are possible in the midwest, especially along the New Madrid and Wabash Valley seismic zones, according to the Lewis & Clark Community College Risk Team's John Nell.  The drill is set for this morning at 10:15.

He says the drill helps prepare people, should one hit.

He says says there are already 300,000 Illinois residents registered for the multi-state drill. That includes schools, businesses, government agencies, families and others.
