Early voting ends today in Illinois, with only a few contested races on the Primary Ballot.  There are a few Madison County Board seats up for grabs, but the Recorder's race is the only county office that is being contested.

In that race, incumbent Democrat Amy Meyer is facing challenger Shannon Bradford.  In County Board District 6, Raymond Wesley of Alton is facing David Baker of Godfrey for the Republican nomination.  In District 3, Republican Bill Meyer of Hamel is pitted against Phillip Chapman on Highland and Rodney Dustman of Worden.  In District 2, it's another Republican contest.  Roger Alons is facing Donald Moore.  In District 19, Democrats Harry Briggs and Michael Parkinson of Granite City are looking for the Democratic nomination to move on to the November General Election.

There are a couple of federal congressional races on the local ballot.  The 13th District U.S. Congressional seat sees incumbent Republican Rodney Davis taking on challenger Ethan Vandersand.  It's also a Republican contest in the 15th District, with incumbent John Shimkus taking on challenger Kyle McCarter.
