Early voting gets underway today in Illinois.  Registered voters who want to skip the lines on Election Day can head to their county clerk's office to cast their ballot in their county, but in Madison County you can also vote early at a satellite voting location.  This year, there are three locations that will be open seven days a week through November 2nd.

The Alton Law Enforcement Center, the Madison County Administration Building in Edwardsville and the Granite City Township Building will have early voting available each day starting today through Sunday November 2nd.   Madison County Clerk Debbie Mendoza says there is a lot to consider on the ballot including several statewide referenda and a U.S. Senate race:

There is also early voting available weekdays only from 8am to 5pm at the Godfrey Village Hall, from 8:30am to 4:30pm at the Wood River Township Office, and from 9am to 5pm at the Bethalto Village Hall.  For hours and other locations in Madison County, go to www.madisonvotes.com and click the EARLY VOTING tab.
