Early voting begins later this month in Illinois, but the window of opportunity to register to vote will be closing soon.  If you want to avoid the hassle of voting on Election Day April 9, Madison County Clerk Debbie Ming - Mendoza says you may want to think about voting early.  She says you can cast a ballot beginning March 25 at her office in Edwardsville.

There are several races throughout Madison County is which a write-in candidate is challenging those with a spot on the ballot.  She says in those races, make sure your handwriting is legible.

Ming - Mendoza comments
