Eagle watching has drawn thousands of people to the Riverbend over recent months to see what is normally a huge number of the majestic birds nesting in our area.  The Alton Regional Convention and Visitor's Bureau reports the birds are plentiful and the so are the crowds.  The Eagles

The CVB's Brett Stawar says eagle watchers have reported activity at the nest along River Heritage Parkway, more commonly known as the Berm Highway.

Two Rivers Natural Wildlife Refuge in Brussels, near Clifton Terrace on the Great River Road, and numerous other places along the area rivers are known hotspots for eagle watching.  Stawar says you can keep track of the hotspots by downloading a free app for your smart phone.
