U.S. Senator Dick Durbin is taking his fight to close East St. Louis clubs earlier to the people. He appeared with more than 100 religious, community and law enforcement leaders outside the Mount Paran Missionary Baptist Church Wednesday morning where he called for a 1 a.m. closing.

The East St. Louis native has been in an ongoing battle with Mayor Alvin Parks over allowing liquor stores and night clubs to stay open all night.
