While he hasn’t visited his colleague yet, U.S. Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) says U.S. Sen. Mark Kirk (R-Ill.) is making progress after a suffering a stroke. Durbin says what he has heard about Kirk’s progress is good news. “He is in intensive care and improving,” Durbin said. “All the reports are positive.” Durbin says he has had a meeting with Kirk’s Washington, D.C. staff and has offered to do whatever he can to help with Kirk’s senatorial duties.
