Dump the pump day was Thursday, but that doesn't mean that awareness of the different ways to save money on transportation shouldn't be thought of anymore. Madison County Transit has bike trails and bus routes, as well as a carpooling program to help you save at the pump.

Madison County Transit Spokesman SJ Morrison tells The Big Z about the bike trails put in place by MCT.

Madison County Transit also offers a carpooling program called Ridefinders that finds people coming from your same area and heading in the same direction. Also, they have a new campaign that started this last week called "Wouldn't it be Loverly" to Ride MCT to The Muny? For this program The Muny Express drops-off and picks-up passengers directly in front of The Muny. MCT Muny Express Fares are $3 for adults, $1.50 for senior citizens, persons will disabilities, and children ages 5-12, and free for children under 5.
