The man who supplied the drugs sold to two St. Clair County judges has been sentenced to eight months in prison. Augustus Stacker Jr. of Caseyville admitted selling cocaine to former county probation officer James Fogerty, who in turn sold the drugs to then-judge Michael Cook and Judge Joseph Christ, who died of a drug overdose last March.
Stacker says he's an employee of the Laborers' Union, and he is also facing vote fraud charges in St. Clair County. Stacker is the son of the former Democratic Central Committee chairman in East St. Louis.
