Alton Main Street offers the public a chance to catch up with what’s going on in the downtown area with its quarterly series called “What’s Up Downtown.”  It runs from 5:30-7pm tomorrow (Tues) at Jacoby Arts Center on Broadway and is free to attend.

The event is an open forum where local business owners, and others with interests in the downtown area, provide their latest news or updates on special events.  Alton Main Street Executive Director Sara McGibany tells the Big Z they have a few speakers lined up including the new owner of the Mineral Springs Mall building Dan Hornsey; Kevin Buel who owns Golden Road Organics on Broadway; and Chris Hinkle who recently moved Piasa Body Art to the corner of Broadway and Henry:
