As construction winds down on the new math and science wing at Civic Memorial High School, Bethalto school board members are now focusing on how they can improve the other buildings in the district. They recently approved a measure designed to do just that by focusing on areas of the curriculum and classrooms that have raised concerns from school principles.

Dr. Blasa also says that these changes will not involve any construction and that they are focused primarily on classroom instruction.

She says board members are also considering the idea of building a new gymnasium at Civic Memorial but that so far bids have come in higher than expected.
