A Democratic challenger for a seat in the Illinois House of Representatives is getting better acquainted with his constituents heading into the November election. Josh Evans (D-Jerseyville) grew up on a farm in Eldred, IL and says he wants to be an advocate for the residents who live in District 100. He says that starts with passing better regulations for agriculture.

Evans also wants to see more funding for education in downstate Illinois and that he supports passing Senate Bill 16, which would provide that funding without raising taxes on his constituents. He also invites the residents of District 100 to meet him and his campaign team during an open house event on Saturday at his office located at 206 South State Street in Jerseyville.
