Do not be alarmed if you drive by St. Louis Regional Airport in Bethalto today and see what appears to be a disaster unfolding. It is just a disaster drill, and this year the scenario is a plane crash. Last year the exercise was a terrorism exercise.
Airport Manager David Miller says the goal is to make the exercise as realistic as possible.

This exercise will involve training for on-site personnel, as well as other area first responders.
