Local communities have a little more time to submit requests for federal assistance following the flooding from earlier this year.  The Illinois Emergency Management Agency has extended the deadline to February 26, after the original date of February 12.  Flooding in late December and early January impacted nearly 20 counties in Illinois.

State and federal emergency management agencies, along with the Small Business Administration, are already reviewing some information in order to be ready to make a final ruling later this month.
